Product Description
THHN/THWN-2 aluminum building wire uses AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors, the only aluminum alloy approved by the NEC for building wire applications. Offering roughly half the weight and significantly lower cost than equivalent copper, aluminum THHN is the economical choice for larger feeder and service entrance runs where ampacity can be sized accordingly.
Rated 600V with a 90°C dry / 75°C wet temperature rating, our aluminum THHN/THWN-2 features the same PVC insulation and nylon jacket construction as the copper version. Available from 12 AWG through 1000 kcmil, it is fully compatible with AL-rated and AL/CU-rated terminations and meets UL 83.
